ALL THAT BLING -- is the thing!  It's also the next challenge -- show us how you use Bling! It can be any style craft project -- There are blingy sticker's, (actually Jolee's has a line called Bling,) Glittery papers, Hotfix and Swarovski style crystals as well as other beads and baubles.  This is a great challenge for all you 'glitter girls,' (and guys) out there.

Make something traditional or think outside of the box.  Create your bling thing and post it in the challenge section here on the flock forum for a chance to win a fabulous prize package from the Spotted Canary Sponsors --

I will be posting some of my own Bling creations during this challenge -- I look forward to seeing yours as well.

Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle ---- POST!

So we post to the gallery here and then the winner is drawn at random? Is that correct?

Thanks ~

Ok, LOL, this card is SUCH a departure from my usual style, but I gotta say, I had fun doing it! Here's my card. TFL!

Cyd, I believe that is how it works, but Catherine or Corinne will be able to give you the "For sure" answer.

Yes Cyd, Noelle is correct in her response --All you need you to do to enter this challenge is create a craft project using BLING -- and post it here in the flock forum -- in the June Challenge  section.

I hope you will post a project -- good luck and happy creating!

Noelle,

Your 'Gothy' card is a great use of BLING -- I can think of a half  dozen teens on my list who would absolutely love this card -- with the Twilight/vampire craze!  --Multiple use of the Bling too -- Woo hoo!

I applaud you for stepping out of your comfort zone -- we can sometimes amaze ourselves when we take a risk and go for it.

Okay, here is challenging to the rest of you canaries -- take a few minutes today and think outside of your regular routine -- whether it's crafting, reading, exercising, cooking or whatever and let us know what risk you took!

Hmmmmmmmm?-- Myself ?-- I'll get back to you.

InkaC.

Thanks, Catherine! I really love the way it turned out, even if it's not my "normal" style. It's fun & different. I bought some crazy jewelled flip flops with a cross on them (black with rhinestones) at a crafts fair this weekend, and that was the inspiration for this card.  Thanks for the tip that you think teens would like it, I will remember that next time I make a card for a teen. Thanks again!

Mine is almost ready to post. I've been sneaking time in here and there when I'm supposed to be doing other things.  Lol  Now I'm waiting on one thing I ordered online for it and it was only 4 hours from my house on Friday and the postman didn't deliver it on Saturday  so now I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.  I'm so excited to share it.  I didn't have much money to spend after the one thing I ordered, but every time I came up with an idea  I dug deeper into my stash and there was exactly what I needed.  That never happens for me.

Hey Peg and sky.

I can't wait to see your projects!  My own Bling project got put on hold when -- a girlfriend stopped by and we took off on a shopping spree. She 'needed' a few clothing article for the cruise she is taking next month -- I did talk her in to a Blingy top though -- Tee Hee!

Happy Crafting and remember to post for a chance to WIN!

I have been working on this for over a week now and it finally all came together.  This was such a fun challenge and I love the project I ended up with for it.  Here it is:

My Bee Bling Bag

Be sure to click on the larger view so you can see all the bling better.  The yellow is glitter paint and the bees wings have glitter and various other spots, too.

Peg,

Your 'Bee Bag' is so cute and blingy!  What a wonderful way to take an inspiration and make it your own.  Is this a gift for someone or do you get to 'bee' the lucky 'Bag Lady?'

Thanks for sharing your project -- you are now entered in the drawing for the $100 prize package from the Spotted Canary Sponsors!  Good Luck!

Catherine-  I get to "bee" the lucky lady for this one. I never seem to have enough things to carry my stuff in.   I recently got my mom interested in scrapbooking and we are planning to get together once a month and craft together so I'm hoping to make one for her birthday in August.  She saw mine and loved it.

Hey Kay,

I started out to make a gift enclosure for a birthday gift and one for a wedding gift. -- but after getting everything out I needed  to create these little cuties -- it seemed like making 4 was just as easy as 2!

Truth be told -- One of my New Year's resolution this year was to try and be time thrifty -- when I have my supplies out I try to think in terms of  2 or 3 instead of just  the one I need at that moment.  I might use different papers and the same design concept or in some cases the same papers and switch up the design.

This has been very effective -- except when I need a card in 5 minutes. HA!

Hey, I think I figured out how to upload my project.

I hope this works!

Starry Night

I used the following materials:

Stampin' Up Basic Gray cardstock for the base
Black card stock from the back of a catalog for the tree, deer and ground
Tree and ground cut out free hand.
Deer stamped with VersaMark, using the "Oh Deer" silhouette set from Pink Persimmon
Krylon Glitter Spray
Ad Ro sparkles purchased at Taylored Expressions
3D Dots from EK Success

This was really fun and I look forward to the next challenge!

There is so much great work again this month.  Everyone is doing a good job on the challenge.

Catherine-Thanks for the comment on my project.

I've been in and out this past week or so.  I decided to tackle some big cleaning jobs around the house and it's been keeping me busy.  I've elected my son (he's 17) to help, too.  Thankfully he doesn't mind.  We've been sneaking in the yard work, too, between storms around here.  Never a dull moment.  Lol  This weekend I'm doing some r and r and c=rest, relaxation and crafting.

Here is the link to my bling card.  I made it a week before the contest openned up and was happy because I had made a couple of cards with bling, that had been my personal challange.  I needed to use up some of my supplies before I shopped for more

Cute card Yvonne -- green and pink are my 'go-to' summer colors!  It's so neat how just a few rhinestones really enhance a card -- it certainly adds dimension when you add the bling!

Remember -- only a few more days to get your projects posted!
