Plain muslin and leather remnants are transformed into handsome gift wrap with just a few supplies and steps.
Instructions
STEP
1:
Iron fabric.

2:
Mark placement of stamp with pencil if creating repeat pattern like polka dot wrap.
STEP
3:
Stamp using brown pigment ink.
STEP
4:
If necessary, erase pencil marks.
STEP
5:
Heat set with iron.
STEP
6:
Wrap packages with stamped muslin, using double stick tape to secure.
STEP
7:
Stamp leather with solvent ink and cut into tag shapes.
STEP
8:
Punch tag tops with heavy duty circle punch and thread with leather lacing. Tie tags to packages.
STEP
9:
TIPS FOR SUCCESS: When stamping on the leather, ink stamp and allow to dry for a quick second. The ink will become a bit tacky and will be less likely to slip on smooth leather surface which could leave the tag with a double image.
