Plain muslin and leather remnants are transformed into handsome gift wrap with just a few supplies and steps.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Iron fabric.

STEP 2:

Mark placement of stamp with pencil if creating repeat pattern like polka dot wrap.

STEP 3:

Stamp using brown pigment ink.

STEP 4:

If necessary, erase pencil marks.

STEP 5:

Heat set with iron.

STEP 6:

Wrap packages with stamped muslin, using double stick tape to secure.

STEP 7:

Stamp leather with solvent ink and cut into tag shapes.

STEP 8:

Punch tag tops with heavy duty circle punch and thread with leather lacing. Tie tags to packages.

STEP 9:

TIPS FOR SUCCESS: When stamping on the leather, ink stamp and allow to dry for a quick second. The ink will become a bit tacky and will be less likely to slip on smooth leather surface which could leave the tag with a double image.
