Create a shaped leaf candle wrap with a two tone stamping technique that adds depth and interest to your project.

Instructions

  1. Cut 3 x 12 inch strip of green paper and ink the edges with Coffee Bean ink.
  2. Stamp leaf across the middle of paper strip varying leaf placement with Olive Green ink. Clean stamp.
  3. Ink the top half of the leaf stamp with Terra Cotta ink and the bottom half of the stamp with Coffee Bean ink.  Stamp pattern offset slightly from stamped green image. Re-ink and repeat on entire strip. Clean Stamp.
  4. Adhere strip to candle. (If paper strip does not completely cover the candle trim a small piece of green paper 3 inches wide and adhere to hide the gap.)
  5. Cut twine, adhere to candle and knot as shown.  Repeat on the bottom of the strip.
  6. Tips: Two tone stamping can be achieved with any two inks and any stamp.  Keeping the inks in the same color family gives a more subtle look like the leaves on this candle wrap.
