Never forget special birthdays and anniversaries again. Create a date reminder book with your favorite stamps. This book can be used year after year and is also a great gift idea.
Instructions
STEP
1:
Begin by planning your book pages. In this book, each page (month) features one of the cupcakes. That cupcake was used on the background stamping as well as the watercolored piece on the end of the page. There are only eight cupcakes in this set, so some were repeated though out the pages (months).
STEP
2:
Once you have your plan in place, begin by doing the background stamping on each natural color cardstock page, using white ink. Using your printer set to print with brown ink, print numbers and lines on each page. Trim each page to 4 1/4 Inch tall and 11 1/4” long.
STEP
3:
Cut several pieces of watercolor paper; stamp one cupcake on each with brown ink and emboss with clear powder. You will need a total of 15 cupcakes, including three small cupcakes for the cover. Add a little color to each cupcake with iridescent watercolor paints and then allow to dry.
STEP
4:
Adhere one watercolored cupcake piece to the end of each page inside the book. Use the corner rounder on the right side corners of each page.
STEP
5:
On 8 1/2 inch by 1 inch strips of cardstock, stamp the month names with brown ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Score with bone folder and fold strips in half. Punch holes and use ribbon to secure each strip to the pages.
STEP
6:
Create a cover for the book that is slightly larger than the inside pages. Add a blue strip of cardstock to the cover. Use the corner rounder on the right side corners of the cover.
STEP
7:
Print “Dates to Celebrate” on natural cardstock, trim, and then attach to the cover.
STEP
8:
Use a scallop square punch to punch three small cupcakes for the cover. Mount these three cupcakes on pink cardstock squares. Use 3D Dots foam squares to mount these to the yellow cardstock rectangle.
STEP
9:
Punch holes through all the pages and cover.
STEP
10:
Add a few beads to each of the two shower curtain rings. Thread each page onto the shower curtain rings. Add a few more beads to each of the two shower curtain rings and then close rings.
STEP
11:
Embellish rings with ribbons.
