Who doesn’t need more sparkle in their life? Using the same assortment of beads and findings, you can create three different looks for three different events! This project uses basic wirework and a new slant on sliders to create this delicate choker that still has presence.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Using the flush cutter, cut sixteen 2 1/2 inch pieces of wire, two 2 inch pieces of wire, and one 4 inch piece of wire.

STEP 2:

Thread four of the 2 1/2 inch pieces of wire through the sliders on the diagonal.

STEP 3:

Make twelve sets of two 4 millimeter beads and one 6 millimeter beads. String on the remaining 2 1/2 pieces of wire, centering the 6 millimeter bead with the 4 millimeter beads on either side.

STEP 4:

Bend the wire on each side of the bead sets and sliders to 90 degree angles, pointing in opposite directions on each piece.

STEP 5:

Grasp the end of the wire in the tip of the round nose pliers and start a small loop. Switch to the nylon jaw pliers and while holding the loop flat in the jaws of the pliers, bend the rest of the wire around the loop, creating a flat spiral.

STEP 6:

Create spirals on the sides of each bead set and slider. Spirals should be tight against the beads and sliders and wrap in opposite directions on each set.

STEP 7:

Using flush cutters, trim the hanging loop off the crystal ring. Center the large star bead on the 4 inch piece of wire and place inside the crystal ring.

STEP 8:

Wrap the wire with the star on it around the sides of the crystal ring and pull snug with chain nose pliers. Make spirals on either side of the ring.

STEP 9:

Bend the 2 inch pieces of wire into U shapes and thread through the holes in each side of the closure so that the long ends of the wire point away from the closure and the bend is hidden inside.

STEP 10:

Cross the wires in an X shape and wrap one wire around the other. Use the long piece of wire to make a spiral just like the ones on the other pieces.

STEP 11:

Open the jump rings and use them to connect the spirals to each other. Place the crystal ring and star in the center with a bead set, a slider, three bead sets, a slider, two bead sets and half the clasp on each side.

STEP 12:

Close all the jump rings and enjoy your necklace!
