Determine pattern for your wearable item. I printed a heart and a butterfly from clip art onto cardstock and then used the heart as my center and a part of one of the wings to create wings for the heart.
Using the piece you cut from rather than the piece you cut out as a pattern, lay that onto your item you are going to embellish. Fill in the pattern with crystals as desired and heat set them, using the hotfix tool. Read the hotfix tool instruction before using.
Tip for Success: When adding hot fix to a satin finish fabric you can see the glue from the gems melt, so be careful as to not move them when they are affixing.
Techniques: Using a timer or counting to 30 for each crystal is recommended when placing them. If you heat them too long they will not stick as the glue will have absorbed into the fabric and will no longer affix the crystal.
