Felted Floral Clutch - Turquoise and Green

Instructions

STEP 1:

Cut out the shapes on your pattern sheet. Using a straight pin, anchor pattern piece on flat felt and cut out the following pieces- 1 circle, and 8 petals.

STEP 2:

Open zipper on clutch and place block inside.

STEP 3:

Lay out petals and flower center to get basic shape of design. Lift center circle and felt a circle a little bit larger than the flower center.

STEP 4:

Attach the flower center using your felting needle.

STEP 5:

Felt the 6 flower petals into place using the needle and block.

STEP 6:

Using the wool roving, felt the smaller petals in between the larger wool felt petals.

STEP 7:

Pull a piece of roving for the stem. You want to roll it in your hands to create the dimensional look of the flower stem. Felt into place.

STEP 8:

Place the 2 leaves along the stem and felt into place.

STEP 9:

Now you want to add the accents with the wool roving. This includes the center of the flower as well as the accents on the petals and leaves.
