Have you used doodles on your scrapbooking page? How would one do that? Should I buy a template or just doodle on my own?

Dawn-Marie,

I have used both in/on my scrapbook pages.  There are some wonderful clear rubber stamp sets out there to assist with 'doodling' around your page. The other option might include to hand draw in a few swirls, dots or what ever suits your page theme. I have seen some really ornate pages -- but I prefer simple, and sometimes whimsical to frou-frou myself.

I think the key to the latter is finding pens/ markers you are comfortable using and then practicing with them a little to find your style.

Thats something I've never tried. Always used stamps for flourishs and swirls. Let us see what you make.

I love to doodle on my pages and I often write on my photos!  I love the ZIG Photo Signature pen for this.  I haven't used the templates but I do look at other people's work and sometimes try to use the same style.

I've only ever done by hand doodling on both cards and pages.  I say give it a shot and make it your own.  Have fun and don't be afraid to mess something up, it just makes it look homemade and only you will know it's not suposed to be that way.

I have always shyed away from using my own handwriting or doodles on pages because I am such a perfectionist I am afraid I'll mess something up or hate the result.  But I let loose and tried awhile back and I am pretty happy with how it came out!  The doodling is very simple, mind you, but it was enough of a success to make me want to try more!
