I have bought, dvds, books, videos, magazines coming out my ears trying to learn techniques, new products, etc. Does anyone have a certain book or magazine that has taught them these things? I don't want a bunchy of pictures without an explanation on HOW TO.
My own favorite was Ink Essentials. I love that book.

The best way to learn is simply trial and error. That's how I learned. Books and magazines are great for inspiration, but you will get a better feel for the craft just trying them out. If you still prefer other methods, the internet is full of websites with actual web-casts showing you different tips and techniques. Try the actual crafting and stamping companies. Hero Arts has a great website and loads of ideas and tips. Inkadinkado does also. Even catalogs sometimes (Stampin' Up) have great tips and ideas. My best books for learning have been the actual catalogs. Just keep trying. You will get a feel for it. Like I said, I learned by myself. You start to learn what you like and don't like and then it will thin out your search for techniques/tips. Just a thought. Have a great day. Mari

I like to go and check out the Spotted Canary blogs. There's always great tutorials on them and they can be printed out and put into a binder. I also find other blogs and youtube videos a good place to learn from.
