I was asked to design baby shower invitations for a friend -- not knowing the sex of the baby was more challenging when it came to choosing the cardstock than the design itself! Not much available for a "generic" baby printed paper! I found this quilted paper in blues, pinks, greens and yellows, so it was perfect for this invitation. I decided to go with the yellows and greens for the background and font color. I found the Cuttlebug giraffe embossing folder, which was ideal for this card. i used it both for the front as well as the inside so it would all coordinate. My friend was thrilled with the results! I made 35 of these invitations -- I added the "baby" tag with white baker's twine as a finishing touch to the card. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch along the right side of the giraffe on the front of the card to bring a little texture to the design.
